Malaysian Premiere of 'A Good Day to Die: Hoka Hey'
followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker, Harold Monfils.
12th September 2019
We would like to thank everyone who attended the screening and made it a success! This great documentary by Harold Monfils is a story of Jason P. Howe's bravery to cover the world at war, and what it takes to get images published for the world to see. Harold met Jason in 2010 and was fascinated by his story that read like the life of Tin Tin, which inspired Harold to embark on the journey of making this film.
The screening was followed by a Q&A with Harold who talked about what it took to complete this chillingly intimate film over the course of 6 years. From the challenges he faced to get Jason comfortable in telling his stories on camera, to the intricate process of dealing with sensitive legalities, Harold certainly kept the Q&A interesting and engaging.
We had such a great night and we hope to see everyone again at our future events! To view more photos of this event, please head to our gallery.
